Join Roots to Grow
About me
I'm Angela Desjardins, a French teacher in Southwestern Ontario with 22 years of experience in primary and early junior classrooms.
But long before Roots to Grow existed, I was already doing this by moderating Facebook groups, connecting French teachers, and sharing resources because I genuinely loved it.
I saw how isolated French teachers felt. How hard it was to find good PD. How much we needed each other.
So in December 2025, I decided to take everything I had built in those scattered Facebook groups and create something real, a warm, dedicated space where French teachers could truly belong, grow, and support each other.
In just a few months, over 100 teachers have joined, and I couldn't be more proud of what this community has become.
